Expert team builds strong partnership

We recently supported a professional landlord with a refinance deal to purchase a semi-commercial property in North London. The value of this interest-only, semi-commercial loan was £1,295,000 at 71% LTV (including fees) for a term of 25 years.

Already an existing Shawbrook customer, with a large overall exposure of £8.9 million, they once again turned to us for funding to purchase a five-storey Victorian property. The property consists of a commercial space found on the ground and lower ground floors, featuring a pair of mid-terrace shops, and a 6-unit HMO on the upper three floors. The property also includes a roof extension and basement.

We worked closely with DAS Finance Ltd to understand the customer’s complex needs and deliver a practical funding solution that allowed the customer to repay a bridging loan used to purchase the security originally, and subsequently move onto longer-term financing.

We have long supported this customer with specialist finance solutions to expand their portfolio, which has evolved from smaller Buy-to-Let residential properties to include this new commercial asset, which is the largest of the portfolio.
